Papers are invited for ASTM International’s 44th Symposium on Pesticide Formulation and Delivery Systems: Charting the Course and Navigating the Challenges of Sustainable Innovation, to be held Oct. 7-9, 2025, in Atlanta, GA. The event is sponsored by ASTM International’s pesticides, antimicrobials, and alternative control agents committee (E35) and will be held in conjunction with the committee’s standards development meetings.
This symposium will provide a forum for discussing formulation and application technologies associated with crop protection products such as pesticides, biopesticides, biostimulants, micronutrients, and spray adjuvants. Of particular interest are papers related to:
- The need for sustainable solutions and the challenges associated with their development and introduction;
- The development of more environmentally friendly adjuvant formulations and related products;
- Global regulatory trends affecting agrochemical formulations and applications and the impact on product development;
- Formulation technologies to improve agrochemical applications and efficacy;
- Application technologies for improved pesticide applications and reduced spray drift;
- Product stewardship, sustainability, and safety;
- The incorporation of AI and related technologies to aid in the design of new products, formulation and application methods or systems;
- And physical and chemical test methods related to crop protection products.
The event welcomes work on other topics of interest related to advancing sustainable solutions in agriculture from a product, application and method development perspective.
To participate in the symposium, authors must submit a 250 to 300-word preliminary abstract using the online Abstract Submission Portal no later than May 31, 2025. To ensure your abstract was received into the ASTM database, please email symposia@astm.org and let us know that you have submitted an abstract.
Additional information is available from technical cochair, Jeferson Naue (Jeferson.Naue@momentive.com).
