Rationale

Update definition of Southern Pine to reflect domestic production, remove “Imported Southern Pine”. The definition of southern pine has been recently updated in both the SPIB Grading Rules as well as PS-20 to indicate that both “Southern Pine” and “Southern Yellow Pine” refer to domestic southern pine grown and harvested primarily from the southeastern United States. SPIB has also removed the nomenclature “Imported Southern Pine” from their grading rules. Changes are proposed to Table 2 with new footnote 12 and Tables X1.1.
